I offer three levels of weathering:
Semi-detailed - this involves more work with a paintbrush (and airbrush), and will include variations in tone and colour to represent uneven and more natural weathering.
Detailed - this option allows for a wide range of weathering effects, including patched-up paintwork, wet surfaces, water staining, rust, faded paintwork, etc.
Two colur - this is the cheapest option, using only the airbrush to add brownish sides and underframe and a blackish roof.
The three options relate to the amount of work involved, and do not corrolate to "light", "medium" or "heavy" levels of general dirt. To illustrate this point, I can create both a light cover and a very heavy covering of general dirt using the airbrush in exactly the same amount of time. The two levels of weathering simply reflect the amount of time involved in creating the effect - the more time I spend the more realistic the result. A weathered surface is not simply a dirty surface, but a surface that has been altered by the effects of water, sunshine and time.
